Application Procedure

Important Instructions
- The recruitment to the posts in BPS 11 and above shall be made in conformity with the recruitment policy circulated vide Establishment Division’s O.M. No. 53/1/2008-SP dated 22nd October 2014, as amended from time to time. The appointments in BPS-01 to BPS-05 shall be made in accordance with Establishment Division’s OM No. F.53/1/2008-SP dated 13th March 2020.
- Applicants are advised to send applications as per the below format (also available at jobs.pmd.gov.pk ) along with attested copies of CNIC, domicile, passport size picture & educational / experience certificates, (Driving License for Drivers) must reach within fifteen (15) days after publication of the Advertisement at Pakistan Meteorological Department P.O. Box No.1214, Islamabad. Applications that will be incomplete or received late shall not be entertained.
- Applicants already in government service shall apply through the proper channel and have to produce NOC / DPC at the time of the interview.
- Applicants shall present their original documents along with 02 No. sets of attested copies of domicile, degree(s) / certificate(s) / issued by recognized Board / University / Institute recognized by HEC along with experience certificate(s) at the time of interview. In case any refuted information and fake / bogus degrees/certificates, the candidature of a particular candidate(s) shall stand canceled and legal action shall be initiated, during the process of recruitment.
- Pakistan Meteorological Department reveres the right to increase/decrease the number of posts or cancel the entire recruitment process without assigning any reason.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for written tests/interviews and skill tests.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be allowed for interviews and skill tests wherever applicable.
- The maximum age limit prescribed for initial appointment to the above posts shall be relaxed by a period of five (05) years for all candidates.
- In addition, the maximum age limit as prescribed above shall be relaxed in respect of the candidates mentioned in column (2) below to the extent mentioned against each in column (3). However, candidates can avail of the relaxation in one category only as per admissibility under the rules:
